INTRODUCTION

The Lifelong Learning and Extension (DLLE) Unit has been run by DLLE, University of Mumbai. Our college unit was started in 2007-08 under the principalship of Dr Usha Mukundan. The unit is working for community welfare through its various projects like Status of Women in Society (SWS), Career Project (CP), National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS), Industry Orientation Project (IOP), Annapurna Yojana (APY) and Population Education Club (PEC). The students from Undergraduate and Postgraduate programs can enrol for these projects and carry out activities under the guidance of Extension work teachers. They develop various soft skills during these activities.
The unit also arranges various community welfare programs and field visits to an old age home and orphanage. Awareness about social issues, personality development and health improvement has been done through various guest lectures.
