NEP SAARTHI stands for Students’ Advocates for Academic Reforms Through Holistic and Innovative Initiatives. This initiative recognizes young changemakers who will actively engage in promoting and implementing NEP 2020’s principles at their institution and beyond.

About NEP SAARTHI
The NEP SAARTHI initiative is aimed at involving students in the active dissemination, awareness generation, and peer-to-peer sensitization of NEP 2020. These selected students serve as student ambassadors, bridging the gap between policy and practice.
The initiative seeks to empower youth to become participants in academic policy transformation, ensuring the NEP 2020 vision becomes a reality at the grassroots level in higher education institutions.
Objectives of NEP SAARTHI
To encourage student involvement in NEP implementation.
To spread awareness about NEP 2020 among peers and academic communities.
To create a positive academic culture based on flexibility, multidisciplinary learning, and skill development.
To promote Indian knowledge systems and value-based education.
To help institutions implement NEP at the ground level with student perspectives.
Roles and Responsibilities of NEP SAARTHIs
Selected NEP SAARTHIs are entrusted with the following duties:
Peer Sensitization: Organize interactive sessions, group discussions, and awareness programs on NEP 2020 for fellow students.
Feedback & Reporting: Act as a channel of communication between students and administration on NEP-related changes.
Content Creation: Contribute articles, posters, and digital content explaining NEP provisions and benefits.
Promotion of Indian Knowledge Systems (IKS): Engage in initiatives promoting traditional knowledge, Indian languages, arts, and heritage.
Support NEP Implementation: Assist the institution in implementing NEP-aligned academic reforms such as skill-based courses, credit systems, and multidisciplinary curriculum.
