2.6.2 – Attainment of Programme Outcomes and Course Outcomes as evaluated by the institution (2023-24)

  • The curriculum when framing has been outcome based.
  • All the expected graduate attributes have been considered while framing of the curriculum. Students are informed about the evaluation pattern.
  • Each department after  discussion decides to have a mcq, quiz, presentation, seminar, case studies, field project, projects, internship, case study depending upon what is being evaluated and what is expected as an outocme from the course.
  • There is a rubric to assess the course attainment.
  • The Continous internal evaluation has a weightage of 40 % is flexible and gives freedom to the departments to use multiple tools for students assessment and evaluate the attainment of the programme and the course outcomes.
  • The semester end examination with a weightage of 60% is subjective but the questions are set to evaluate the different levels of learning by the learner.
  • To complete the program successfully40% marks are essential.
  • Project, presentations, seminars, field report, lab work have a structured framework for evalaution. Additional credits which are reflected in the grade card.
  • The course attainment of all programs are calculated as per UGC norms. The analysis of the course attainments are discussed by the examiantion committee with HODs to identify areas of improvement.
