DESCRIPTION:10th Annual State Level One Week Training Program for the Library Support Staff entitled “अंकीय युगात शैक्षणिक ग्रंथालयांचे बदलते स्वरुप: आधुनिक ग्रंथालयांसाठी नवीन कार्यक्षमता– ग्रंथालयीन सहाय्यक कर्मचार्यांकरिता एक आठवड्याचा प्रशिक्षण वर्ग”“CHANGING ROLE OF ACADEMIC LIBRARIES IN THE DIGITAL ERA : UPGRADING THE SKILLS OF LIBRARY SUPPORT STAFF”\n(24th to 31st December 2018)\n  \nIt is a great pleasure to announce the 10th Annual State Level One Week Training Program for the Library Support Staff entitled “अंकीय युगात शैक्षणिक ग्रंथालयांचे बदलते स्वरुप: आधुनिक ग्रंथालयांसाठी नवीन कार्यक्षमता– ग्रंथालयीन सहाय्यक कर्मचार्यांकरिता एक आठवड्याचा प्रशिक्षण वर्ग”“CHANGING ROLE OF ACADEMIC LIBRARIES IN THE DIGITAL ERA : UPGRADING THE SKILLS OF LIBRARY SUPPORT STAFF” being organised by the Library Dept. of RJ College\, in the month of December 2018. \n  \nUnique of its kind\, the 10th year of the training program will introduce new innovative and creative sessions\, which will acquaint the participants with recent trends in the academic libraries. Hence the theme ‘Emerging Trends\, Challenges and Gainful Actions’\, which will update the participants with the latest developments in the relevant areas\, alongwith hands on training to use the Information Communication Technologies to the fullest of their abilities to apply in the libraries they are working. Covering emerging trends in the field\, this year the training program will focus on problem solving tools and techniques in providing Effective and Innovative Services to the Users using library software applications\, digitization\, networking\, virtual reference sources etc.  The training program will also include a soft skills development workshop for enhancing their personalities\, which will aim to inspire and motivate the participants to upgrade their skills\, enhance their personalities to serve the user community in an efficient and effective manner. \n  \nThis training program is specially designed for the Library Clerks\, Library Attendants and Peons\, who have not undergone a formal training or course in the field of Library and Information Science. This is also an opportunity for earlier trained Library Support Staff to upgrade their knowledge and skills\, as the contents of this training program have been totally changed. \nI herewith request you to depute your library support staff for this training program. \n  \nThe Training Program Details are as follows : \nRegistration Charges : 1000/- per participant \nREGISTRATION FORM 2018 \nMedium of Instruction : Marathi/Hindi \nDates : From 24th December 2018 to 31st December 2018. Timings 9.30a.m. to 5.00p.m. \nVenue : Ramniranjan Jhunjhunwala College Library\, Ghatkopar (W)\, Mumbai 400086. \nLast Date of Registration : 20th December 2018.
