Seminars:

1. Current Trends in Nanoelectronics and Nanotechnology

  • About The Talk: This talk will discuss the recent trends in Nanoelectronics and Nanotechnology where scientists and engineers meet. Research challenges involving physicists, chemist, computer scientists and electrical engineers due to scaling of Metal Oxide Semiconductor (MOS) transistor where one billion transistors are placed in a single chip. Some of the optical, biological and chemical applications will also be outlined.

  • Dr. Durgamadhab Misra is a Professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering of New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT). He received his M.S. and Ph.D. degrees both in Electrical Engineering from University of Waterloo, Waterloo, Canada in 1985 and 1988 respectively. He has been a faculty member since the fall of 1988 at NJIT. His current research focus is study of nanoscale CMOS devices. In 1997 he worked at the VLSI Research Department at Bell Laboratories of Lucent Technologies. He received IEEE Regional Activities Board’s International Leadership Award and is currently a Distinguished Lecturer of Electron Device Society of IEEE. He is also a Fellow of the Electrochemical Society.

Career Fair:

The College is conducting a 3 day Career Fair called "Vistas" along with local Outreach Programme by  American Resource Centre in the college premises on 8th, 9th and 10th September 2009.

  • Display of books and other library materials at the Gymkhana.
    Searching the Internet for students of Literature, Political Science and History and DVD screenings for the same group.
    A session on Internet skills for Librarians followed by DVD screening “Information Literacy: the perils of Online Research” 22 minutes on September 10, 2009 between 2 to 5 p.m.
    A talk by Mr. Sanajay Kher on IPR and Biotechnology issues – September 8, 2009 at 10 a.m.
    A display of ESL collection and a lecture by Michelle Philip, Head, Department of English, Wilson College for teachers on September 10 at 2.30 p.m. the session will last for 2 hours.
    Screening of An Inconvenient Truth in Hindi
    A lecture on Higher Education by Dr. Sucharita Narayanan, Regional Officer and Educational Advisor – Western India, United States India Educational Foundation on September 9, 2009 at 10.30 a.m.
