Learning Resources:
There is a separate Library for
Biotechnology. The students have access to the Central Library as
well as Departmental Library. The Departmental Library has more
than 600 books. Updating is done on the recommendation of the
faculty members as well as Library Committee. The Library also
subscribes to 16 periodicals and magazines The department has 2
laptops, 2 LCD’s for ICT enable teaching learning process. There
is a computer lab shared with department of Botany with
Printer (2), Hp Scanjeet (2), 10
Desktop Computer (1 Research Lab) + 1 Server ( DST-FIST) and
MTNL Broadband Internet Connection.
Large number of guest lectures related to curriculum, industrial
applications, computers, career related are organized throughout
the year for the benefit of the students. The speakers are drawn
from industry, research institutes, and academic institutes. To
name the prominent ones Mr. Vijay
Hingorani (MOSS Diagnostics USA), Deepak Modi (NIRRH)., Dr T
G Gopalakrishna (BARC), Dr Venkatramana ( Reliance Life sciences),
Dr Lakshmi and Dr Shyam Kishore (G S Medical College), Dr Padma
Shastri ( N C C S, Pune).
