A glimpse of our initiatives linked with our Aim:

1.      The Managerial Skills are imparted by sound teaching techniques in accordance with the laid down syllabus by the University. Value addition is done through Guest Lectures. We have close ties with Bombay Management Association and Dr. P.N.Singh Centre for HRD. Students are sent to benefit from the Evening Lectures organized by Bombay Management Association mainly in Mumbai Downtown. Students attend Leadership Convention organized by Dr. P.N.Singh Centre for HRD.  In the summer between First and Second Year, each student is required to read a book (other than a text book or a reference book) and then submit a Book Review.

Faculty plays important role in developing managerial skills of a student. Approx. 60% of the teaching is imparted by Visiting Faculty. We draw visiting faculty from academic as well as business background. At the end of each semester, evaluation of a faculty is done by the students. A faculty scoring less than 3.00 on 5.00 scales is discontinued.

Teaching Methodology adopted is as under:

  • Lectures, Group Discussions, Case Study Method and Management Games are used to make the students learn various management concepts.

  • Students discuss various management concepts in Group Discussions and Debates. This helps them to improve their communication skills.

  • Case Study method is also used extensively so that our students learn from real life situations, thus sharpening their analytical skills.

  • Role playing technique is used to polish their Negotiation Skills.

  • We use learn-while-you-play concept through Management Games.

2.      Students’ Entrepreneurial abilities are developed by organizing games on Creativity. We have a Cultural Committee comprising of 9 students – three from each year. They plan an annual event titled Kshitij. The theme for 2007-08 “Our Concern for Environment – Now or Never”. Planning to execution, every thing is handled by the Committee.

During 200-03 the theme was “Kshitij: Entrepreneurship – An Emerging Horizon.” A competition on Business Plan Presentation was the key attraction. The theme for 2003-04 was “Kshitij: A Panorama of Services”. The theme for 2004-05 was “Kshitij: Management Thoughts and Practices in India”. The theme for 2005-06 was “Kshitij: Ad-Tantra”.
